Description
Terramater is a unique porcelain stoneware collection made from Italian raw materials and 60% recycled material.
Thanks to special glazes that blend with the red body during firing, Terramater creates textured floor and wall coverings with unique surfaces, richly detailed and charged with memory. The palette of seven intense, deep colours is born from the reaction between the glaze and the natural oxides, recalling the aesthetics of 1970s ceramics, whose dimensions they also recover and reinterpret.
The plain modular sizes – one square, 375×375 and two rectangles, 186×375 and 91×375 – offer endless options for novel compositions.
Meanwhile the three dimensional decors stand out for their strong textures. With its pattern of parallel stripes and its rectangular size, Ritmo creates a dynamic surface in which the three-dimensional ridges of the burnt sienna glaze highlight the glossy textured finish in a rich play of light. Losange evokes the refinement of classic motifs in which red glaze reliefs emerge from the background material to create a decorative effect that is both traditional and innovative. Terramater, the result of extensive research into raw materials, glazes, colours and surfaces, is a tribute to revolutionary single-firing patent, registered in Italy in 1974.
